What is Suggested Gratuity?

Every location has the option to set up their financials to include a Suggested Gratuity option that will prompt guests to auto-fill either 18, 19 or 20% on their proposal page for their Gather Booking. In order to activate this Suggested Gratuity functionality, or to get more information on what this process will look like, feel free to reach out to support@gatherhere.com! After activating Suggested Gratuity, it will then be applied to every booking that is created within Gather. 

Here is what your client will see on their proposal page when this is activated:

This Suggested Gratuity form will require your client to pre-fill a specific percentage (18%, 19%, 20% or Other %) in order for them to approve the proposal. When selecting other, the client will only be able to input a percentage, not a specific dollar amount.

In order to see how this is set up on the back end of this booking, navigate to the Booking's Financials tab:

Although the percentages that are offered to your client are the defaults, as shown above, you are able to edit these percentages on a per-booking basis by heading into your Financials tab and clicking 'Edit Financials'! This will allow you to go in on the back end and edit the actual percentages that are being displayed to this guest. Also, if you'd like to deactivate the Suggested Gratuity option for this specific booking only, you can de-select the check mark next to the 'Active' field, removing the ability for your guest to input a percentage.
